Personality: Wave the Swallow is the tech girl behind the Babylon Rogues, and it only takes a 10 second conversation with her about Extreme Gear to acknowledge this. She is very confident in her skills with constructing any type of Extreme Gear, and is often quick and never hesitant to make a mockery of anyone else's Extreme Gear, or "pieces of junk," as she'd call them. This is even if deep down, she knows that the other person's board is actually pretty well-engineered. Out of the three, Wave is actually the most outgoing and undoubtedly the most rude out of the motley avian crew, second only to Jet. She'll hold in any compliments and disguise them as insults just to secure her… well, to be blunt… bitch factor and hopefully never add suspicion to the possibility of a generous heart. This is especially if you criticize her Extreme Gear skills in any possible way, even illegitimately.
For the most part, she knows of the responsibilities needed to be a Babylon Rogue and (despite her respect for him) probably wants Jet's position considering her constant lectures to the poor ole' Hawk since he is always just a'loafin around. After time, Jet seems to have tuned the whiny songbird out. Sounds like the kind of relationship a girl would have with her little brother, innit?
Wave's snide, impatient, moderately greedy, and judgmental demeanor is typical for her lifestyle, but in the end, just like the other Babylon Rogues, she simply thinks life is just a big ole' rollercoaster ride and you gotta assert yourself and have as much fun as you can — forget the rules! Of course, fun is ultimately dismissed whilst she is engaged in yet another pointless argument with her cohort, Storm the Albatross.
History: As with the leader of the Babylon Rogues, Jet the Hawk, Wave the Swallow is part of the current generation of the ancient Babylonian race known as the Babylon Rogues. She is the mechanic behind the crew and is responsible for all of their thievery gadgetry, so to speak. Also like Jet, her past is pretty blurry as well. She was raised and given her skills by her father, the mechanic for the previous generation of Babylon Rogues and her confidence in that field has turned her into the egotistical, easily-agitated bully she is today. (Ask Tails, he'd know.)
Wave the Swallow joined her comrades in the "EX World Grand Prix" started by Dr. Eggman to prove who's the fastest with Extreme Gear (and to revive the lost Babylon Garden and find the treasure that's there), but unlike Jet and Storm, her two-timin' self resorted to cheating. Let's just put it this way: it was Wave who built and implanted that explosive remote-controlled device on Sonic's board. And during the last race at the Desert Ruins, taking refuge behind a rock, Wave pushed the button right when she noticed Sonic was about to win, destroying Sonic's Blue Star Extreme Gear and securing Jet's victory. Judging by Jet's state of shock when he realized Sonic was about to win, he most likely didn't even know Wave had done this.
Can't blame her, actually. She had to be of some use after her insulting of Tails, caused by the said fox to pwn her in the Green Cave race.
Long story short, the Babylon Garden was resurrected, they managed to find the treasure that came in the form of a meager magic carpet, and Wave and Tails made the observation that it could possibly be a prototype to what is today's hi-tech Extreme Gear airboards. Since then, she and the Babylon Rogues gone back to their life of crime.
Which leads them to the Gigan Rocks, where the resting place of an Ark of the Cosmos rests. Jet deactivated the trap and snatched the treasure, and no sooner then that did Wave see a shooting star. Wishing upon it, Storm questioned her and laughed, but was seen doing the same, ironically.
Back on the ship, Wave was analyzing the Ark of the Cosmos they found and explained it can charge up gravity and convert it to power the engine unit of Babylon Garden. She explains that there are five of them. Jet then orders her to create a radar to help find them. But before she could do that, Storm bursts in and shows a news report of a MeteorTech Mech stealing an Ark of the Cosmos from the Megalo City Museum. At seeing this, they set a course for Megalo City. After going through Megalo City, Jet tracks the robot to the Botanical Kingdom where he destroys the robot, but loses the Ark. He searches the ground and discovers Sonic talking with the others. When Amy hugs Sonic, the Ark of the Cosmos she found (the one Jet is after) falls out. Overhearing their conversation about MeteorTech, Wave and Storm appear and Wave suggests that they go ahead of Sonic and the others to gather information on MeteorTech.
They meet Sonic and friends at MeteorTech but are cut short by guard robots. As Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Jet, and Wave ride off, Storm attempts to get the Ark of the Cosmos from Amy. Storm returning with two in his hands, Jet was happy that they now have three, but is cut off by Wave's description of an ancient Babylonian text. After Jet gives up on trying to figure out what the 'lightless black' is, he finds that the two Arks are missing. Eggman then appears outside flying away with them, and they figure that he took them.
They follow Eggman to the Crimson Tower where they wait for Sonic and the others. Jet then challenges Sonic and they reach the top of the tower. After Babylon Garden is called down, a damaged SCR-HD breaks in and steals all five Arks of the Cosmos from Wave. Tails informs Sonic that the five Arks will make a giant black hole if put in Babylon Garden. After that, Eggman declares that massive energy readings are coming from Babylon Garden. Then the outer part of Babylon Garden is falling off, transforming it into Astral Babylon, the Babylonian spaceship and creating a black hole. Sonic, Jet, and everyone (Except Eggman and Amy) rush to Astral Babylon's Mobius Strip to face SCR-HD's giant new form and disconnect the Arks of the Cosmos from the ship.
Afterward, the Astral Babylon was orbiting Earth. Jet and the Rogues are atop a rock in the desert looking at it. After a quick conversation they fly off on their gear.
And so they returned to their voyage in search of treasure.
