Sand Ruins: Another Emerald?

"Iiiiiissss kicking that eyeball in an option?" she grinned. Arching a brow, she noticed the red lights. "Hey...what are those?"

"I would surmise that one of them's a Chaos Emerald." Metal hummed. "How kind of you to make our search that much more lucrative, old man... now would you let us take the emeralds before I decide to puncture your heart, cyborg?"

[Alien-Child]

"Tell you what," Zachary takes a step forward and spreads his arms, "I'll give you a free shot, what you can call a 'heart' is all yours, even my eyeball."

[AnT]

BOOOOOM!!!

And what took the place of Aleena was a trail of fire.

For the girl leaped high into the air and shot in a Sonic Spin, plowing through the sandy ground, in the center of the ruins.

"...I do hope you won't count that as the free shot." Metal chuckled, as he approached the old echidna. "You're being far too generous, old man; but you have no idea who you're testing."

In the ruins, some of the drones notice Aleena and started striking at her.

Back outside, Zachary chuckled. "She never does things you expect. Nonetheless, there are other things I want to test out."

But it was too late for their laser or strikes to reach, for Aleena plowed through the earth, making a hole.

Flipping, she landed on the ground, right on a large stone block floating in a massive dungeon filled with quicksand.[rand=3751353779366079733218842425277560896134833131617725824948975198]

As if to simply sprinkle salt on an open wound, Metal merely formed a liquid metal barrier that repelled the blast. "No sell." he chuckled, before the barrier formed into a sharpened tendril... that shot straight for the echidna's eye.

The visible organic eye was destroyed, glass and wires fell out on the sand. Zachary stumbled back, but he stood straight up. On his right arm, the dark red light shone bright, and in and instant, wires reassembled themselves in the eye, and glass covered it up. In seconds, the eye looked intact! Though Metal is able to do it, but he has liquid metal, Zachary was still solid. "Excellent, that proves one test was a success. Immortality even in mechanical beings." Zachary said, aiming his gun arm, this one charging energy, "Shall we continue?"

This time, his apathetic nature seemed to dwindle. "...let's."

And Metal ran right at the echidna, to try and simply rip his left arm off by sheer force.

Meanwhile, Aleena leaped from block to block, crossing the quicksand dungeon. Being a zone, there were even floating blocks, like a video game, which she took advantage of.

"Ah ha!!" she beamed, finding the cyan emerald floating above a coffin sitting on a floating alter.

While Metal did rip the arm off, it dissolve right out of his hands. It return to Zachary, the wires and metal plates literally growing out of the cyborg. "FIRE!"

And Metal slammed the blast aside with a single swipe of his arm. "...enough games, old man. I want the Chaos Emerald you got." And he flew at the echidna to throw a punch straight through his gut; without intending to pull out. Let's see you recover with me still inside you. he thought.

And launching out of the sand, Aleena shot high and then dropped right on Zachary.

"Peek-a-boooo~!" she sang, covering his eyes.

[Alien-Child]

Zachary smiled, despite blinded and a big gaping hole with an arm in his chest, "Oh, this is perfect! Detonation Destruction!"

Can only be used once every thread. Adds PP and MP, and then roll as much dices as there are opponents and even allies in the areas. Zachary self-destructs and takes all those within the area. He takes 3 full turns to reassemble himself.

With no emotion whatsoever, they weren't aware of them being scrap goats as they were counted for, along with Metal and Aleena, and Zachary exploded in a red dome.

"...the f-" was all he had time to utter before the explosion seemed to engulf him.

"URK!!" As well as Aleena, enough to make her fly off Zachary.

"Oh, that's all sparkly!" Bean sang, eyeing the red dome dimming down, "LETS LAND THERE! Hey, where's Bark? He's not drunk on Coca-Cola again is he?"

Back at the ruins, there was an even bigger crater, parts of sand had even became glass. Scraps of metal from the birds and Zachary were everywhere. However, only those from the echidna was still moving, floating and flying to two red gems floating in the air, one was a chaos emerald, the other was the anarchy beryl. Metal and Aleena would only get a small glimpse before they'd be cover up by the metal as Zachary began being reassembled.

"...you know... I would comment on some cheapness..."



With a dry sigh, Metal's body was quickly reconstructing itself after almost having been obliterated from that blast; even the slightest hint of liquid metal could allow him to regenerate. "...but then that'd make me seem like a hypocrite." he sighed. "Aleena, you alright?"

"Owww..." she groaned, trying to get up from the sand.

[Alien-Child]

Yeah, was afraid it seemed like that. Granted, it is immortal, which is a reference to the cartoons. Best weakness I could think of at the moment would be that feature gets disable by something representing Order.


"Well then, I believe this test has been going perfectly." Zachary's voice could be heard, but his body was completely repaired,"Shame you have amnesia Fire-Rat, you might have a clue on what is going on. Though how much do you recall of the Chaos Emerald's creation?"

The moment his body had fully regenerated, Metal approached Aleena and tried helping her up, whilst glaring at the old echidna with a dry look in his eyes.

She did recalled much about Dark Gaia, and how involved this old geezer was in. And what he created in order to seal off the beast.

"You..." she muttered, with her eyes widened.

[Alien-Child]

"The Chaos Emeralds were proven mighty powerful, one of the mightiest artifacts in any of the universes, however they weren't exactly as I have imagined. I did sought out to continue my ideals, however... you and Jan did prevented me from going any further." Zachary's seemly-organic arm reassembled, and it clenched it, making a mechanical sound, "And it wasn't just destroying the right materials for the emeralds."

Metal narrowed his eyes, as he made sure not to let either Aleena or the echidna out of sight. "...so we have an immortal echidna among our menagerie of nanite-infused robots and Chaos spirits." he whispered. "What to do about him?"
