Name: Guan Yu
Nickname: 'Saint of Force' 'Beautiful Beard' 'One of the Five Tiger Generals' 'Guan Di, the God of War, Justice and Rightousness' Age: 29
Gender: Male
Species: Echidna
Affiliation: Shu(HERO)
Description: Gyan Yu is a four foot tall echidna, huge by anthropomorph standards, with long black fur. Especially long is the fur on his chin, forming a long, well groomed beard, giving him the nickname 'Beautiful Beard'. The fur on the back of his head is straight, unlike the dreadlocks that most echidna have, his hair is straight and flowing, pulled back and tied into a unbraided que at the back of his head.
His jaw is slightly more square than the norm, and his eyes are sharp and black, even piercing. When he gets angry(a rare occurance), his eyes transcend being mearly piercing and become actually frightening, able to convey his anger without changing, to the point of triggering the fight or flight instinct in many people. For clothing, he wears a green chinese robe with a red heming. There is gold embroidery on both the robe itself and the the heming, forming small dragons with five toes on the heming, and a single large one on the back.
Yu wears a metal vambrace on his left arm, over his gloves. In addition, he has four full fingers, plus thumb, on each hand, with a spike on each of the four finger-knuckles, instead of the mitten-hand most echidna have. Around his belly he wears a leather belt with a large dragon-head-shaped buckle made of brass.
Guan Yu's robes only have one sleeve, on the left side. The right side cuts off at the shoulder. His shoulders also bear shoulderpads, the left side are simple, just two vaguely saddle-shaped pieces of bronze layered one over the other, the top covering about one half the bottom. The right shoulderpad is shaped like a dragon's head and upper jaw.
His weapon of choice is the 'Green Dragon Crescent Blade', a Guan Dao with a crescent-shaped blade and a brass dragons-head-shaped guard at the point where the blade and pole meet. The blade is black with a white edge, and has an embossed gold-leaf imperial dragon. The pole is 2 meters long and made of black laquerd cherrywood. It weighs about 40 lbs.
Status: Wandering warrior, General of Shu,
Location: wandering
Abilities: Incredible Strength
Guan Yu's strength is far beyond what a mortal should be able to muster, and his height for his species reflects this. His strength is thus that a single swing of his spear, Green Dragon Crescent Blade, can churn up powerful winds. A single punch can dent metal, the spikes on his knuckles piercing completely. The winds churned up by his spear swings can knock over some lighter characters, but can't actually do much damage. Great Intellegnence and Battle Sense
Not an unintellegent man by any means, Guan Yu is a brilliant tactiction, though not as much as his sworn brother, Liu Bei, nor such legendary tactictions as Zhuge Lian. Beyond that, his battle sense is unlike a normal man, and better reflects his survival of a number of battles. It is so strong that not only can he come up with brilliant strategies on the fly and in the heat of battle, but it is also nearly impossible to catch him off his guard.
This also applies half his MP to his LP when defending. Spear Master
The Spear is Guan Yu's weapon of choice, allowing him not only flexibility of reach, but also of power and control. The type of spear he favors, the Guan Dao, is designed for slashing without sacrificing too much thrusting power, and also has a heavy blade, which multiplies the momentum his arms can generate. His skill is such that he is able to defend from even a hailstorm of arrows with his spear.
Weakness:
- Slow
- unused to the modern world.
- His old ways may conflict with local law enforcment rather often.
POW Move:
Great Cyclone
With a single great swing of his spear, Guan Yu churns up the air and generates a tornado around him that lasts until his next turn. Also his signiture technque. A generally defensive technique, as it can deflect both attacks and attackers that venture within its range of 2 meters from Guan Yu. Chaos Ability:
Rage of the Tiger General
Doesn't actually require a Chaos Emerald, but Guan Yu is unable to access their power. Boosts his PP and LP by 50% and applies 100% of his MP to his LP when defending, also generates an aura of wind around them, though it does little more than effect his esthetics. Can only be used when angry. Drains a large amount of stamina, leaving the user extremely drained after it wears off.
Character Stats:
PP: 10 LP: 3 MP: 8
Personality:
Guan Yu is an old-fashioned fellow, but that is what one would expect from someone of his age. He is a stalwart and steadfast person, firm in his beliefs. But he endevors to remain flexible in his ways. He tries to remain patient, though his temper has been growing short as of late, between being seperated from his sworn brothers, being in this foreign landscape, and his sudden change in shape.
In battle he is as fierce to his enemies as his is kind to his allies, and though he isn't the swiftest of foot, his raw strength makes up for it. Though quite gifted tactically, and wise beyond that, he tends to favor a heavy handed direct approach, often fighting on the frontlines despite being a general. He is a serious man, with a very dry wit, and doesn't suffer fools well.
Though he knows not why he is in this strange land, he searches for his sworn brothers all the same. History:
Guan Yu was born in Xie County, Hedong (present day Yuncheng (Ô˳ÇÊÐ), Shanxi) during the year 160, to a family of scholars. Like his ancestors, he often read classics such as the Book of Changes and Spring and Autumn Annals. While little else is known of his early life, it is apparent that he was trained in the ways of the spear from early in his life.
When he was 23, Guan Yu fled his hometown after slaying a local despot. Five years later, he met Liu Bei, who was activly recruiting an volunteers to form an army to surpress the Yellow Turban rebels. It was during this time that he swore and oath of brotherhood with Liu Bei and Zhang Fei, and from then forward, the three were as true brothers. However, it was not long before things took a turn for the worse. While preparing for an upcoming battle, a windstorm swept through their camp.
Guan Yu, when he awoke, found himself in a strange and foreign land, one where buildings were made of glass instead of wood. A strange land indeed.
Anything Else?:
Sorry if it's not as good as my Sir Galahad, but I couldn't get into this one as well.

If you wanna think of it that way. Or the actual Past. Quan Yu was a real person written about in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The events of the book often are confused with facts, and it's almost impossible to seperate the two now.

I think he should be from a book world. In a way, it doesn't matter...except he would have to be human before coming to the Sonic worlds. The magic from the book would turn him echidna if he ever got out.
Also, I think he should start out in Blaze's world.
Other than that, approval. Now you have to wait for Nine's approval
